Jarrod's Bio:
Jarrod Craig doesn't take much seriously. Bull riding talk might be the only thing that brings a straight face to the likeable, bright-eyed bull rider.
His enthusiasm for the sport of bull riding shines through his occasional chuckles as he describes his favorite ride aboard a bull named War Dance. "It was in the short round, and it was just one of those rides that clicks. Every thing goes right and it feels good. That is one of those rides that I will always remember."
A graduate from Hill College, Jarrod was born and raised in Hillsboro, Texas. He graduated college with an Associates Degree in Applied Science and three welding certificates. While he loved rodeo growing up, he never thought he would ride bulls. He roped until he was 12 years old, but then met a friend named Pistol Robinson who "conned" him into trying it.
"Boy, as soon as I figured out that you didn't have to back up to a horse trailer to go to a rodeo….you could just grab a rigging bag and go…I was hooked. I still have a horse at the house that I'm not doing anything with," Jarrod said through more contagious laughter.
"Bull riding is my life," said Jarrod seriously. And then with a smile he adds, "but when I'm done I want to be a fisherman… when I grow up."
