Fort Worth, Texas (May 30, 2009) ~ Championship Bull Riding Crowned a new Champion at The Palace Station CBR Tulsa Challenge presented by Sycamore Springs.  2007 World Champion, and birthday boy, Wes Silcox wins the title in a jammed packed arena at the brand new SpiritBank Event Center.

Wes Silcox of Payson, UT turned 24 tonight and swept the competition. On his first ride of the night Wes rode  the Mike Johnson/ McCloy Rodeo bull, Cat Daddy for 87.5 points. In the short go  he scored a 90.5 on Sloppy Joe of Scott Burruss for a combined score of 178 and the gold Hi O Silver Buckle.

He was chased closely by riders Cody Whitney, and J W Harris but it came down to the last ride of the night by Oklahoma native Bronson Butcher who won the long round with a 88 score on Brad Vogele’s bull Rena’s Pet , but Bronson failed to complete his ride in the short round, which gave Wesley the win.

The bull of the night was Out of the Air, the Mike Johnson bull, with a score of 46.5
