Chance's Bio:

Chance Smart was crowned the King of the Month for December 2008.

Chance is coming off a great year and a second place finish in the PRCA World Standings. After heading into NFR in the top sport he remained in that position until the last night when JW Harris nudged him from the lead. “ It was a humbling experience”, said Chance. “ I learned a lot about myself. I had a better finals last year, but this year I had to motivate myself a lot so I think I got more out of it.” Chance fell ill during the final days of NFR and struggled with the final rounds after he won in a tie, on the 4th night.

Chance lives in Philadelphia MS, with his wife Sommer. She is his constant travel companion and goes to all his events. He is a very spiritual person and if he was not a bull rider he would like to be a Pastor. He also enjoys golf and he has learned to make beaded hat bands and in fact gifted all of this year’s NFR riders with one of his creations.

Chance says his is happy with the direction CBR is going and feels this is going to be the biggest and best year for them. He also adds, what he like most about the CBR is the exposure and the friendships he has made within the organization.
