Danny's Bio:
Danny McDowell is a very modest cowboy. Born October 24, 1983, the 24 year old bull rider from Jena, La, said in an interview that there wasn't much to him. A modest statement. He has moved up the CBR World standings to 14th after a solid 3rd place finish in Del Rio. He accomplished two 90 + rides in Del Rio and had the best score in the short round on Sunday. "He's a good rider. He works hard at it and it has been paying off", stated Tuff Hedeman, CBR President.
The love of bull riding began when Danny was very young when he would attend events his two older brothers were riding in. It wasn't long before he was begging his mom to let him have a try and he has been riding ever since. In 2003 he was second at the National College Finals. His fist year with the CBR was in 2005 and he rode in the CBR World Championship that year. Danny says he likes to ride with the CBR because they really care about the contestants and want them to succeed.
Danny, who still lives where he was born and raised, is a recent newlywed. He married his wife Sarah a little over a year ago. He works for his in-laws in their construction business. In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing. He also obtained an associate's degree in agriculture from Howard County Junior College in Big Spring TX. In addition to his two older brothers he also has a younger sister. His family likes to attend his events when they are able, which Danny says is really great.
