Cole's Bio: (2007)

Although Cole Echols has been involved in rodeo for most of his life, he did not begin riding bulls until four years ago, and he has his sights set on a world title.

Echols, of Frierson, La., is in his second year of competition in the CBR. He placed third in the average at the April CBR event in Fort Worth, Texas, after scoring 87 points in the long round and topped his draw in the short go for 91 points.
The 20-year old bull rider also holds a card in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association where he is currently ranked in the top 25 in the bull riding standings with season earnings of almost $45,000, and qualified for the short go at the recent Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo.

Echols travels with Jarrod Craig and Trent Cormier and is enjoying riding. "I just like getting on bulls, it doesn't matter where," he said. He credits Seth Rains with helping him the most when he began riding bulls.

When he is not on the road Echols does like to hunt and fish, but he spends most of his free time bucking bulls with his friend Taylor Roach, who lives near him.

Echols has an older brother and a younger one along with two younger sisters, but he is the only one involved in rodeo.
Currently Echols is just riding bulls and having fun doing that, but he is serious about his goal to become a world champion bull rider.
