Hoxie honors Lexi Munk

Early this year, a beloved mother was taken from this world much too soon.  To honor her life, family and friends decided to memorialize this beautiful angel with the 1st annual Lexi Munk Bull Riding sanctioned by Championship Bull Riding Horizon series.

Dustin Munk, the motivating force behind this event for his niece Lexi says she grew up with a love for rodeo and introduced the sport to her daughter Sofia. Former bull rider, Munk, recalls her as a child watching him from the stands watching and waving and always saying “Good job Uncle Dusty!”

“This is my way to honor my niece and give something for her daughter to be able to chase her dreams” says Dustin.

CBR is excited to partner with the group organizing the memorial and Sheridan County Fairgrounds will host the event June 9th at 7 P.M. Gates open early for the young athletes in town to join in on some mutton busting fun and steer riding. After the bull riding, attendees can enjoy live performances by Kristi Gray & Radio Active.

There has been an overwhelming support for the event from both fans and sponsors and it has been announced that all of the proceeds will benefit the Lexi Munk Memorial Fund and surrounding communities of Hoxie are encouraged to come show their support.
