CBR Welcomes Geronimo Productions to the Big Tex Agriplex Bull Bash

CBR Road to Cheyenne Series continues from Lufkin, Texas in February

WEATHERFORD, Texas (February 2, 2018)—Championship Bull Riding (CBR) is delighted to announce that Geronimo Productions will be filming and producing the CBR Big Tex Agriplex Bull Bash on February 17th, in Lufkin, Texas .

Geronimo Productions was founded by Jeff Medders with the television production of CBR in 2008 on RFD-TV. Geronimo Productions and Medders have continued to produce the CBR Road to Cheyenne series on GAC (2009-2011) and Fox Sports (2012-present).

“It’s hard to express how much Championship Bull Riding has meant to Geronimo Productions!  CBR was our first major client.  Wes and company believed in Geronimo and that opened the door for all the success we are experiencing today” states Medders.

In 2009, Medders invested in the future of the CBR as a major shareholder and served as a member of the board of directors through 2017. Reflecting on the last decade, Medders expresses his feelings on CBR.  "Championship Bull Riding is like family.  CBR consists of an amazing group of experienced and professional personnel who do bull riding their way, an amazing way!  It is fun, fast paced, and the television challenge is to make the television show as good as what fans get in the seats.  Producing CBR’s television has always been one of the strongest feathers in the Geronimo hat.”

Board Chairman and CEO, Wes Bruce is ready to jump back in the saddle with Geronimo. “Jeff Medders and Geronimo Productions have always provided the very best television production in the western lifestyle industry. That is evident by the success and growth of his company, which now produces the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas and many other rodeo events around the country. Oh and by the way, he is also the on-air broadcast host and voice of the NFR. CBR is proud to continue our long term partnership and look forward to the event broadcasts of the CBR Road to Cheyenne.”

Doors open at 6:30pm and the event kicks off at 8 pm with an action packed, two-hour performance featuring the best bulls and riders - including 3 time CBR World Champion and 4 time PRCA World Champion, Sage Kimzey who is scheduled to participate. Following the bull riding, Shotgun Rider performs live.
