Well its been two months since Josh Barnetine won in Cheyenne so we decided to catch up with the World Champion and find out what he’s been up to and how he’s been spending his big paycheck.

So Josh has it sunk in, being a world champion? It’s been a little crazy but in a good way. At home, everyone has been great congratulating me and asking for my picture. It’s been fun.

What have you been up to since you won? Right after Cheyenne I got hurt at another rodeo in Colorado so I haven’t been riding since then. I have been at home taking care of things. I got on my first bull last weekend at a PRCA event and this coming weekend will be my first CBR event at a Horizon Series in South Dakota.

Everyone wants to know-how are you spending your money? (Laugh)  Well, everything I need for the ranch. A new truck, cows, posts, wire. It’s been great to be able to do things and get things done that I haven’t been able to do for a long time.

What is ahead for you this fall? I have all the Horizon Series events lined up and some rodeos. Basically get back out there and win some money.

The 2013 CINCH Tour schedule will be released soon, what are your plans and how do you like the new “Eight Second Format”? I really want to win back to back Championships so that is what I am going to set out to do. Take one event at a time just like I did last year. I will also make a run for that top 15 in PRCA, let’s see how it goes. I am excited for the 2013 CINCH Tour to get started. I didn’t get a chance to try out the new format in Huron but I think it is great. I especially love that there is no entry fee but aside from that, it’s really going to show who is really serious and can ride bulls and who can’t.  I also think it will be good for the fans , they will get a great show with the top guys giving it their all.
