This is what they mean by “The Daddy of Em All”
This is what they mean by “The Daddy of Em All” – The CBR Road To Cheyenne has reached its final destination and we saved the best for last with seventeen qualified rides in the first performance of the 2012 CINCH CBR World Championships at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Of the seventeen rides, seven were 90 points or better.
The big names of the night, 3- Time PRCA World Champion J W Harris and 2007 World Champion Wesley Silcox, both had top scores of 92.5, Harris on Itch and Scratch (Box K, Lancaster & Jones) and Silcox on Jungle Juice ( Brad Vogele). Harris won the opportunity on the bounty bull by narrowly beating out Silcox by the back judge tie-breaker. The Titan Machinery Mahindra Max Moment pitted JW Harris against the previously un-ridden bull Ropin Dreams of Danny Reagan. The bull can no longer brag as being un-ridden as JW made a spectacular ride for 93 points! As a result, he was awarded the keys to a brand new Mahindra Max 25hp utility tractor courtesy of long-time CBR corporate partner Mahindra. Ropin Dreams also takes home the Bull of Event honors.
The competition for 2012 CBR World Champion also became interesting as number one seed Luis Blanco did not get a qualified ride but Josh Barentine narrowed the gap between the two with a 90.5 ride on Talbert Bucking Bulls, Buffalo Hump. Josh is one ride away from taking the lead. Tomorrow night will be another exciting night of bull riding and the 2012 CINCH CBR World Champion will be determined. The show starts at 8PM MST- real time results posted on FB and CBRBull.com. The 2012 CBR World Championships from Cheyenne Frontier Days will air on FSN August 5th and 12th.
