CBR on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" This Sunday

Fort Worth, Texas (February 27, 2009) ~ Championship Bull Riding, Inc. (CBR) will be featured on an upcoming broadcast of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition” that will air Sunday, March 1 at 8/7c.

The Augustin family of Keller, Texas, was notified Monday, December 8, 2008 that they were chosen as the latest recipients of a new home.  Their original dwelling had been badly damaged by flood on Fathers Day of 2007.  Amber, Peter, and their three children (Cameron, 16; Emily, 11; and Lane, four) were forced to vacate, and they were informed that their home would have to be raised more than one foot for them to be able to live there again making it cost prohibitive for the family.

ABC’s Emmy-award winning hit reality show selected the Augustin’s as part of its current “Heroes in the Community” season.  Amber Augustin founded the non-profit “Tiny Works of Heart” and Peter Augustin, a proud advocate for Amber’s foundation, also dedicates his time to Habitat for Humanity.  Arlington-based Wall Homes Inc. was chosen as the builder of the new home, and hundreds of volunteers helped build the new residence for the deserving family in less than seven days in below average Texas temperatures.

Six CBR bull riders including Luke Haught, Chad Castillo, Logan Knibbe and Dave Samsel were on hand for the event, but two riders received special attention.  Bonner Bolton, 2007 CBR World Champion, was horseback and part of the opening demolition ceremonies, and Kolt Miller, 2006 World Championship Event Winner, stole the show as he boarded a D9 “bull”dozer and rode to victory.  CBR’s own Cody Sosebee, barrel man, drove over seven hours from his home in Fort Smith, Arkansas to be a part of the activities as well.

ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” design team (Ty Pennington, and fellow teammates Paul DiMeo, Tracy Hutson, Eduardo Xol, and John Littlefield) as well as Wall Homes Inc., and hundreds of volunteers worked 24 hours a day to have the home ready to reveal to the Augustin family on Monday, December 15, otherwise known as “Move That Bus” day.
