Popular Bull Rider in Huntsville today to deliver Bull Mania tickets to First Responders

CONROE, Texas – September 27, 2017 – National Finals Rodeo qualifier and multiple event champion Cody Rostockyj will be in Huntsville today delivering complimentary tickets to Huntsville, Texas first responders. Rostockyj will also be on K Star (99.7) at 4 p.m. and Lonestar Community radio (104.5) at 11:30 am.

“I am excited to be part of such a great event and it’s just icing on the cake to get to go around and shake the hands of the guys who are the real heroes of our community and invite them to relax and enjoy a great night of real western entertainment, they are the real tough guys, not us,” said Rostockyj.

“CBR is granting free admission to First Responders, active and veteran Military, and educators and decided to continue with the planned event to provide a night of family friendly western entertainment to the people of this area after so many have suffered for so long in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey,” said CBR Chairman of the Board, Benny Cude who is a resident of Montgomery County.

“The CBR family wants to give the people of Conroe something to enjoy and reflect back on and hopefully remember as a time when they had the opportunity to honor and entertain the people who made a difference in so many people's lives during Harvey,” added Cude.

Known as the class clown, who better to go “door to door” to firehouses and the police stations in the Huntsville area personally inviting the first responders of Walker County to get a well-deserved night out after serving the community during Hurricane Harvey?

Rostockyj may be the court jester behind the chutes and in the press conferences of the CBR, but he is a serious bull rider when he nods his head, something he has done since for six years on the Road to Cheyenne. The already famous resident of Lorena, Texas, is a beloved member of the CBR bull riding top ten standings and a high profile athlete in the rodeo world who year after year and meets and greets fans, sponsors, and the media the same as everyone who crosses his path – with a huge smile and time to give.

Today Rostockyj, the 28 year old student of the sport is known for his in-depth knowledge of each and every part of the bull riding business which has helped him earn over half a million dollars on the back of the bucking beasts. The bulls, the crew, the pens, the schedule, and probably the license plate numbers of the 18 wheelers that arrive with the CBR arena and supplies tucked neatly inside.

Finishing in the top five of the CBR World Standings for the second consecutive year, Rostockyj was lucky to leave Cheyenne in a vehicle instead of ambulance in 2016. In round one, he left the arena on a stretcher after losing consciousness in a bull collision, but after a chin full of stitches and miraculous recovery, he would thrill the crowd getting on for the second night’s performance and finishing the event riding three of the five bulls he attempted. He would go on to finish the year strong with his first appearance at the PRCA’s super bowl of rodeo, the NFR.

Having a great NFR Is hard to do – especially when it is your first! But Rostockyj rode into Las Vegas for the first time and won Round 7 and placed in four rounds to rank sixth at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. His 2017 season resumed with his usual consistency in January and February riding five of the nine he attempted, but the rodeo side of Rostockyj’s career would sideline the father of two after multiple injuries including a collapsed lung.

My goal is still to win the CBR World Championship and the finals, I am excited about the opportunity this year just like the rest,” said Rostockyj.
