Tickets on Sale for the 28th 2017 Lufkin Championship Bull Riding

Plan now to attend the 2017 Lufkin Championship Bull Riding Bull Bash at the George Henderson Expo Center on Saturday, February 25 at 8 p.m. Bring the family and friends to the twenty-eight year old Angelina County tradition and cheer on the undisputed number one bull rider in the world, 2016 CBR and Professional Rodeo Cowboy Associationís World Champion Sage Kimzey as he is challenged by the local 18 year-old bull riding sensation from Crockett, Boudreaux Campbell and multiple National Finals Rodeo qualifiers.

Campbell, a two-time Texas High School Bull Riding Champion and senior at Lovelady High School is ranked No. 3 in the CBRís 2017 World Standings of the professional Road to Cheyenne bull riding tour. He joined the tour in August after qualifying thru the CBRís Horizon Series.   


Kimzey, the No. 1 ranked bull rider, left the National Finals Rodeo and Las Vegas as the 2016 World Champion Bull Rider earning $311,451.27 during the 2016 pro rodeo season with $149,462 won at the NFR in December. Last July he earned over $100,000 at the CBR World Finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days as he won his second CBR World title. The twenty-two year old bull rider from Strong City, Okla., leads the CBR World Standings at the midway point on this yearís 2017 CBR Road to Cheyenne televised tour which comes thru Lufkin next month.


Kimzey will have his hands full as multiple National Finals Rodeo qualifiers are on the elite Road to Cheyenne tour which features a 24 man field in a three round tournament style event with the winner taking home the lionís share of the $30,000 prize package.


Sanctioned by CBR, the Bull Bash is the twelfth stop on the Road to Cheyenne twelve-month televised tour where the worldís top bull riders test their skills against dynamic four-legged animal athletes.

The 2017 Lufkin Championship Bull Riding Bull Bash, a premier event on the CBRís Road to Cheyenne tour, features a three round tournament style event ending in a final four Shootout Round worth $30,000.


With 30 years of bull riding history on his resume, Tuff Hedeman is one of the most recognizable cowboys in the history of rodeo, but he defers to the young super stars that are currently the CBR and PRCA World Champions as the best bull riding talent he has seen in over 15 years.


The former 4-time world titled Hedeman, who in recent years has made a name for himself in the production of great bull riding events, will serve as the ďChute BossĒ and television commentator from the dirt in front of the audience. Come early and enjoy the pre-event activities including great food, cold beer, shopping, and autograph opportunities.


Riders and Hedemanís appearance schedule for Lufkin will be released at a later date.


Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for ticket holders to enjoy the activities on the concourse including great shopping and meet and greets.


Tickets are on sale now online starting at $25 dollars for General Admission with reserved seating at $35 and children 2 and under are free with general admission.
