Top Bull Rider and Recording Artist Join CBR Line Up

The undisputed number one bull rider in the world, Sage Steele Kimzey, earned his third consecutive Professional Rodeo Cowboy Associations (PRCA) world title on December 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he is coming to Jackson in January. In a rare appearance in middle Tennessee, be one of the first to see Kimzey continue his quest to become the best bull rider in history at the Oman Arena on January 13 and 14 for the Bud Light Classic Championship Bull Riding presented by Alan Vines Automotive.

“Kimzey is fundamentally flawless, the best rider this sport has seen in 15 years,” said four time World Champion Bull Rider and CBR Chute Boss, Tuff Hedeman.

Kimzey, the reigning CBR World Champion Bull Rider, rode six of his ten bulls at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo to finish his year $23,647.98 ahead of the 2015 CBR World Finals winner, Brennon Eldred who finished second in the Super Bowl of rodeo’s average winning a total on the season of $287,803.29.

Immediately following the bull riding action will be a concert featuring Nashville recording artist Jason Pritchett. Jason Pritchett is putting real western back in country music. He's a REAL cowboy from Independence MO. He rode bulls for several years until he found his true passion of country music.

So stuff your bull riding fans’ Christmas stockings with tickets and plan now to be at the Oman Arena in January to cheer on these highly decorated champions which includes multiple National Finals Rodeo qualifiers Cody Rostockyj, Jeff Askey, and Tim Bingham.

“If you did not go to Vegas to the NFR, you can see as many as five of the same bull riders right here in middle Tennessee less than a month later,” said CBR’s Chief Executive Officer and event producer Benny Cude. 

“Local fans are always cheering on Corey Bailey, the Paris, Tennessee cowboy who has finished in the top ten in the World Standings since 2013 and this year we have a new rookie, Colt Galvan from Lenoir City,” continued Cude.

Four time World Champion and CBR Chute boss Tuff Hedeman has been producing top rated events for over 30 years and ticket holders can look forward to a great night as CBR has recruited some of the industry’s leading entertainment and personnel including 2012 NFR Barrel man J.J. Harrison and two bullfighters of the year, Matt Baldwin and Brandon Loden. 

Making his first appearance in Jackson will bull fighting champion Schell Apple of Fay, Okla., who will be making his first appearance in Jackson as a part of the elite bullfighting squad.

CBR Famous Energy Bullfighters, grand pyro introductions, and great family entertainment assure bull riding fans enjoy the the two hour adrenaline rush show.

“It’s a combination of a great rock and roll concert and a heavy weight prize fight and refereed by Tuff Hedeman,” said CBR Chief Executive Officer Benny Cude.

The Bud Light Classic presented by Alan Vines Automotive is a premier event on the CBR’s Road to Cheyenne tour featuring a field of 24 elite bull riders in a three round tournament style event ending in a final four Shoot Out round worth $30,000.

Riders appearance schedules and autograph signing will be released at a later date.

Tickets on Sale now at Rustic Soul, EventBrite.com and CBRBull.com and range in price from $20 with a variety of ticket packages available including kids 5 and under are free admission. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets now as the show is expected to be a sell-out.
