Bossier Bull Riding Classic Moves to February 4

Same bull, just a few weeks earlier, announced CBR Ambassador, Chute Boss and Event Commander Tuff Hedeman. Hedeman, one of the most recognizable cowboys in the history of rodeo, has in recent years made a name for himself in the production of great bull riding events, including the one at the CenturyLink Center Arena.

Hedeman is returning to Bossier with his signature event, the Eldorado Resort Hotel and Casino Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding on February 4, 2017, as it moves up on the 2017 calendar of top things to do in the Arklatex and Bossier.

The 2017 Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding tickets are on sale now and fans this year will be treated to a stellar field of bull riders as the reigning and four-time World Champion Bull Rider Sage Steele Kimzey will continue to defend his number one ranking in professional bull riding. But to get to that number one spot again he has to get past a talented Louisiana cowboy that finished second behind Kimzey at this year’s World Finals.

Kimzey from Strong City, Oklahoma is among 25 professional bull riders -- the best in the world -- who will compete one night only in Bossier at the Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman CBR on Saturday night, February 4 at the CenturyLink Center Arena. The ticket packages now available for early Christmas shopping start at just $25.00.

“Kimzey is fundamentally flawless, the best rider this sport has seen in 15 years,” said CBR Ambassador and Chute Boss, Tuff Hedeman.

North Louisiana is rich in bull riding talent as it has produced several World Champions including Chris Shivers from Jonesville and Cole Echols, a native of Frierson, but the cowboy everyone is talking about is Prairieville’s Jacob O’Mara. O’Mara and his bull riding brother in law, Koby Radley finished first and second in the CBR’s Road to Cheyenne and Horizon Series divisions in 2016 and are expected to be strong contenders for this year’s title.

Tickets for the family friendly event can be purchased online, at the CenturyLink Box Office or the Barksdale Airforce Base.

Kimzey will be returning to Bossier for the second time and is looking to defend the Bossier title he won in 2016.

The four-time World Champion, and Pro Rodeo Hall of Famer, Tuff Hedeman will be in town for the 10th year heading up the high energy  production and handling every detail from the bulls to the intermission entertainers of the event to assure bull riding fans enjoy the two hour adrenaline rush show.

“It’s a combination of a great rock and roll concert and a heavy weight prize fight and refereed by Tuff Hedeman,” said CBR Chief Executive Officer Benny Cude.

Individual tickets for the CBR’s Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding tickets start at just $25 and provide fans with multiple ticket options for individuals and families.

The Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding, a premier event on the CBR’s Road to Cheyenne tour, features a field of 24 elite bull riders in a three round tournament style event ending in a final four Shoot Out round worth $30,000. The list of riders and former World Champions reads like a list of  Who’s Who of cowboy athletes including Sage Kimzey, Cody Teel, Chandler Bownds, Aaron Pass, Cole Echols, Jacob O’Mara, Cody Rostockyj and Eli Vastbinder  – just to name a few.

Riders will again be making appearances around town signing autographs and hosting meet and greets at local establishments. Schedule will be released at a later date.
