Out of the southernmost end of the Lone Star State is singer songwriter Chris Shaw Marshall. A Mission, Texas native, he's known in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) for playing with several local music groups and performing as a solo artist at numerous regional venues. His family fueled his love of music with the sounds of Texas Outlaws, Bakersfield Legends, Nashville Greats, Motown R&B and Rockers from the USA to the UK. Playing guitar and singing since age eleven, Chris honed his talents throughout his public educational years with family and childhood friends. He completed his US Army service in 1997 and attended college, only to transform his passion for music into a career. Since 2002, Chris has lit up RGV stages and studios with signature guitar-work, lyrics and vocals Chris Marshall (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Nick Pell (Lead Guitar), Thomas Ferrer Jr. (Vocals, Bass Guitar), Jason Ellsworth (Fiddle), and Peter Shotts (Drums).

Following the 60 minutes of non-stop heart-pounding bull riding action, ticket holders can rock out while enjoying the Nashville based band Sweetwater Rain.

Vocally led by singer-songwriters Danny Rivera, Sweetwater Rain combines powerful southern harmonies with an energizing live show. The Curb recording group is made-up of lead vocalist and guitarist Danny Rivera, lead guitarist and vocalist Fred Stallcup, and Thomas Hewlett, who completes the trio on bass guitar and vocals.

You may have caught them around the country on arena tours and opening for superstar artists as well as collaborating with some of the music industry’s top taste makers. Their current single “Tailspin” is impacting Country radio now.

Sweetwater Rain’s debut single “Starshine” hit Billboard Top 50 and introduced them to country radio as a powerhouse group with a unique twist, while their sophomore single “Pray For Me” received a nomination for Country Song of The Year for the 2014 GMA Dove Awards.

“We want to captivate and entertain fans with our music,” says Danny. “That’s our hope and what we’re all about.” Sweetwater Rain has shown Country radio their ability to showcase instrumental strengths, powerhouse harmonies and a keen sense for not only songs that touch vibrant emotional places, but also for delivering them with the fullest impact and appeal.

Together, Sweetwater Rain has opened for celebrated music artists such as ZZ Top, Kenny Chesney, The Band Perry, Little Big Town, Kenny Chesney, and Rascal Flatts Live & Loud Tour.

Sweetwater Rain made their national television debut on GAC’s Daily Countdown in promotion of their sophomore single, “Pray for Me” and they are looking forward to opening for Championship Bull Riding in Mercedes.
