Round 7

It's starting to come down to the wire tonight as Round 7 of #NFR2015 unfolded at the Thomas & Mack Center. Cody Teel continues his hot streak riding his sixth bull out of seven for 87 points and second place. He maintains his lead in the average race while inching closer to Sage Kimzey in the race for the World Championship. Teel is less than $45,000 behind Kimzey now, and with the record-high prize money involved in each round, it's still up in the air who will emerge the champ. Kimzey took fourth in the round tonight, and CBR rider, Joe Frost in the was in the money at fifth in the round. But it was Ty Wallace who took the victory lap after scoring 88 points for his ride on Andrews Rodeo bull, Hard Knox.

Round 8

Round 8 of the WNFR was aptly named for several cowboys who heard the coveted eight-second whistle Thursday night at the Thomas & Mack Center. Joe Frost won the round once again with an 85.5-point score. "He's a really good bull, jumps out and turns to the left, a lot of rear, a lot of kick," Frost says of Beutler and Sons bull Nod Big's 90 Proof. "It was the best feeling ride I've had all week and one of the best feeling rides I've had all year," Frost says. He describes the past eight rounds as being up and down to start with, but explains things have gone more on the up side as of late. "I've finally felt like I was where I needed to be. I'm really really excited for the next two nights," Frost says.  The eighth night of competition couldn't have been more precarious for Sage Kimzey and Cody Teel-Professional Bull Rider who are in a close race for the world title. Just a little over $33,000 separates them for Kimzey's lead in the world standings. Teel holds on tightly to his advantage in the average win, especially, after tonight with Kimzey bucking off of Pete Carr Pro Rodeo bull Rattler and Teel taking fourth in the round. Brett Stall was second and Clayton Foltyn third. Parker Breding was fifth and Ty Wallace and Chandler Bownds split sixth.

Round  9

Clayton Foltyn has had a good finals in Las Vegas, winning another round, Round 9, to add to his already lucrative earnings at ‪#‎NFR2015. And the big news of the night is that Round 9 also proved to be the deciding factor in Sage Kimzey and Cody Teelís close race for the 2015 PRCA World Championship. Kimzey rode a bull called Maverick for 84 points and second place in the round to clinch the gold buckle. CBR rider, Wesley Silcox came back from injury to take third in the round, and Shane Proctor came in fourth. Teel still leads the average race but was given a re-ride in Round 9 when his bull stumbled to the ground. Subsequently, Teel was stepped on and then bucked off of his re-ride to mathematically lose his chance at the 2015 world title. Teel still has his sights set on the WNFR Average win, and Kimzey is close on his heels. The excitement will continue in the final match that is Round 10 at the Thomas & Mack in Las Vegas.
