Building Bulls and Bull Riders

Chad Ramer and David Findley are Rockin R Bucking Bulls. Three year veterans of the CBR Bull Team Challenge, this dynamic duo from Sulphur, Oklahoma and Saudi Arabia consistently bring rank buckers to the Mahindra Road to Cheyenne Tour.

ďGive me bull riders like Cody Teel and Sage Kimzey and Iíll be there every timeĒ, said Chad Ramer as he was loading bulls headed to the finals of the Oklahoma High School Rodeo Finals.

Rockin R bucked 14 different bulls on tour this year, but he will have to thin the herd to three for the CBR World Finals in Cheyenne. Which ones he will use is anybodyís guess, but letís take a look at the top performers he is leaning on to board the Rockin R trailer.

In 2015, Ramerís bull 21 Anger Management was the second highest marked bull of the season. His rank score was 92.5 during season opener in January in Jackson, Tennessee. This great bucker remains unridden in the CBR. This was the second consecutive year that Rockin R was in that same position with rank bucking bull scores, last yearís stand out was 46 Little Moody.

Rockin Rís team  posted 8 qualified rides this season with three of those whistles heard on Ramerís anchor bull, 903 Big Sexy. JW Harris was 92 on this decedent of Roy Carter's infamous 1X Kid Rock, at the 2013 CBR World Finals.

903 is well acquainted with Cheyenne as he has made Tuff Hedemanís list of buckers for the World Finals for three consecutive years beginning in 2013. He will no doubt make the trip to Frontier Park for third time this July.

Fans got a look at a new bull of Ramerís late in the season. 4015 A Whooping, a bull acquired from legendary bull rider Mike White, has only bucked twice on the Mahindra Road to Cheyenne, but his outstanding performance at the George Paul Memorial earned him bragging rights to the third highest average bull score, 45.3, of the 2015 regular CBR season.

Ramerís record during his tenure in the bull team competition is three team titles earned in Hobbs, Fort Worth, and Breckinridge. In the fall of 2014 at the CBR Futurity finals, Rockin R put together a fierce team of three seasoned two-year-old buckers to win the CBR Championship Futurity Tour that came with the title of 2014 CFT World Champion Futurity team and more importantly, a check for $50,000.00.

Rockin R is no stranger to bucking bull titles. Winning numerous high marked bull buckles on tour, there is no doubt in the #5 ranked cowboyís mind he would like to draw Ramerís stock.

ďI learned to ride at Rockin R Ranch, Chad put me on calves, steers, and then bulls, my theory was if I could ride them at Rockin R I could ride anythingĒ,  said Brennon Eldred, the #5 ranked CBR cowboy and currently ranked #3 in the PRCA.
