Must See TV Begins May 24

Championship Bull Riding (CBR) is gearing up for its fourth season on FOX Sports Networks (FSN). The all new season will premiere May 24th at 6:00 pm.

The CBR on FSN will feature the highlights from the 13 events on the “Mahindra Road to Cheyenne Tour” beginning with the first event in Conroe, TX and culminating with the World Finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days from Cheyenne, Wyoming, which will air in August.

This year’s storied tour tells the narrative of CBR and PRCA World Champion Sage Kimzey battling from a season low of 14th place to his first tour win late in the season, thus making the case that he will defend his 2014 CBR World Champion title.

You won’t want to miss one minute of the action as the champ will be challenged by veterans such as PRCA World Champion Cody Teel who has won two event titles, his traveling partner Brennon Eldred, also a two event winner, and 18 year old Wyatt Rogers who has not been out of the top 5 since his debut in Mercedes last October when he won the largest CBR regular season purse of $43,000 in his debut event as a professional.

See the thirteen performances thru the eyes of four-time World Champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman and chute reporter Ali Dee, catching the cowboy’s reactions just moments after they leave the arena. The sixty minute format also features former CBR superstar bull rider Clint Craig joining rodeo royalty, Jeff Medders, from the broadcast booth.

In addition to the CBR’s unique three round tournament style format, the Mahindra Road to Cheyenne features a fierce competition among stock contractors as well bull riders. The CBR Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge was created in 2010 and has grown to a 48 team owned competitive franchise league that will award over $1,034,375 in the 2015 season.

Competing for a total purse of $45,000 on each tour stop, the bucking bulls of the CBR are in high demand as each champion team on the Mahindra Road to Cheyenne stop wins $20,000. In addition to the four money earned placings, Bull of the Event (High Marked Bull) and Champion Bull (High Marked Ride) honors are rewarded with Hyo Silver buckles, and a custom pair of Feneglio boots.

Don’t miss the action as these super star bovine athletes such as Little Shyster, Karaoke, Ragin JT, and Cadillac Red, post amazing scores that are supplemented by the time ridden to culminate in a total bull-team score. Many times the separation between first and second is less than one tenth of a point. All eyes will be on this competition as the prize in Cheyenne for the winning team is a $108,000 check and the title of 2015 CBR World Champion Bull Team.

FSN, which reaches more than 85 million homes through more than two dozen owned and affiliated networks, will begin televising the sixty minute series May for 24th for 26 consecutive Sundays.

“CBR is extremely excited to be broadcast on Fox Sports Net’s programming lineup in 2015”, stated Josh Oakley, Director of Acquisitions for FSN, “Bull riding has a very passionate fan base that has helped solidify FSN as the home of the CBR. We look forward to continuing to build on that audience over the coming years”.

Benny Cude, Championship Bull Ridings’ Chairman also commented, “We are very pleased with the continued partnership between CBR and FSN. Our fan base continues to grow and the passion they feel for the sport of bull riding is evident in the numbers. We look forward to continuing to provide great programming to CBR fans nationwide.”

In 2015, CBR fans will have access to twenty-six (26) consecutive weeks of Championship Bull Riding shows on FSN scheduled to air during primetime.  The 2015 season will begin Sunday, May 24. Check your local listings for time and availability in your area.
