Championship Bull Riding Broadens the Horizon

On July 21, CBR stock contractors will leave Cheyenne $335,000 richer thanks to the CBR Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge, making it the richest single-day bull team competition in the history of the sport.

With money like that up for grabs, it is obvious why the innovative CBR event format has been profitable to the 48 franchise bull team owners who participate in CBRís exclusive Bull Team Challenge League.

The CBR is pleased to announce the expansion of this wildly popular league for the 2016 season. For a limited time, ownership in a CBR Bull Team will be available.

"When we first set up the bull team concept, our goal was to create a competition series where stock contractors could come to CBR events and compete on a level playing field for a substantial amount of prize money. The success of that is evident by the substantial growth of the franchises, the popularity of the bull team competition and a million dollars being paid out in one yearĒ, Benny Cude, Chief Executive Officer of Championship Bull Riding.

How it Works:

Each bull team challenge event pays out a total of $45,000. Twelve teams are entered in each Bull Team Challenge event. Each team is allotted three events during The Mahindra Road to Cheyenne Tour in order to earn points to attain one of the twenty qualifying positions for the CBR World Finals at Cheyenne Frontier Days. BTC teams on The Mahindra Road to Cheyenne are comprised of three bulls, two in the long round and one designated for the Semi Finals. Each bullsí score is added to the riderís time ridden for a total score. After the completion of both rounds, all three total bull scores are added together. Points are awarded on the following descending scale: 1st place receives twelve points with 12th place receiving one point.
