#1 Ranked CBR Horizon Bull Rider Heads to the Show Me State to Defend his Ranking at the 5th Annual Ultimate Challenge Champion

Missouri bull riding fans If you like high energy and live action 8 seconds at a time then CBR has just the thing for you! Championship Bull Riding (CBR) kicks off the 2015 portion of the Horizon Series Tour in Lebanon, Missouri with a spectacular line-up of entertainment featuring bull riding, freestyle bullfights, Missouri Youth Bull Riding Champions, and the hilarious arena works of barrel man Wayne West. The 5th Annual Show Me State Ultimate Challenge Championship Bull Riding is presented by Graven Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and will begin at 7 pm at the Kenneth E Cowen Civic Center at 500 E Elm Street on January 3rd.

The annual event, organized to fund and provide local FAA members with scholarships, will begin with a long round of 40 of the best bull riders and bucking bulls on the CBR circuit including the #1 ranked bull rider of the CBR Horizon Series, Lane Toon, from Lane, Oklahoma. But cowboys are not the only champions rolling into the Show Me State, the CBR reigning CBR Stock Contractor of the Year, Jeff Harris of Palestine, Texas will be pulling into town with his trailer full of buckers to defend his 2014 Show Me State Bull Team championship title.  The action gets underway with 40 bull riders doing their best to stay on for eight seconds in round one so they can advance to the championship round for a shot at the bulk of cash and prizes including a Signature Case Knife provided by Shepard Hills Cutlery.

This year’s organizers have stepped it up a notch and added a jam-packed show including four 70-second free style bullfights, always a crowd favorite. “We are excited to bring this extraordinary show of talent to the people of Lebanon, there is something for everyone.  It is a rare opportunity to see some of the best bull riders in the world right here in Missouri”, said this year’s producer Jason Tollett.

On display through out the event will be the next generation of bull riders, the Champions of the Missouri Youth Bull Riders, who will be competing on junior bulls. Also during intermission, said Toon, scholarships will be awarded to local FFA students.

The competition will also feature an open Bull Team Challenge. Bull owners will bring three bulls that are featured during the first two rounds of competition. Those bulls receive points for their performance in the arena. Additionally, the time the bull rider stays on is added to the bull’s score. At the end of the night, the owner with the three highest-scoring bulls will receive the lion’s share of prize money.

CBR has become known for their action-packed performances that keep fans on the edge of their seats. That is largely due to the influence of four-time world champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman who coordinates every element and attends to the smallest details. From having great bulls matched up with super star riders, to upbeat music and enthusiastic fans, the Show Me State Ultimate Challenge Championship Bull Riding will be second to none. Immediately following the bull riding, fans will get a chance to meet and get autographs from the champion bull riders of the CBR.

Tickets start at just $15 for general admission and are available locally in Lebanon at Graven Auto, 1755 West Elm Street, T’s Redneck Steakhouse, 221 Evergreen Parkway, Eagle Stop Convenience Stores, JR’s Western Store at 1120 Millcreek Road.
