TIME TO CALL IN A RELIEVER

Cody Sosebee Set to Entertain the Masses at CBR World Finals

When you combine amazing stunts with an interesting musical presentation you get a professional rodeo clown and barrel man of Charleston, Arkansas, who just happens to be running as the Republican candidate for county judge.

Cody Sosebee is one of the most sought-after rodeo clowns in the industry. He has been hailed as one of the hottest talents on the road. His quick wit and off the cuff banter has been keeping crowds entertained on The Road to Cheyenne for years. He always makes time to visit with the kids and fans and occasionally throws himself between a cowboy and a bull.  Well, so we have heard.

Sosebee, who made his debut with the CBR in 2005, was once a competitive bareback rider, who made a costume change 10 years and 80 pounds ago, when the clown act did not show up at a rodeo where he was competing.  The 1993 IPRA World Champion bareback rider was asked by the producer if he could put some clothes and make up on me. At the end of the day I got a check for running around the arena acting silly. What started as a job fill in turned into a full time gig!

Sosebee who studied agriculture business at Southern Arkansas University entertains rodeo fans around the world for eleven months out of the year traveling to major sporting events, pro rodeos and professional level bull ridings. Aside from performing Cody is a tireless leader in the community of Charleston, Arkansas. Currently running for Franklin County Judge, Sosebee is an active member of the South Franklin County Fair Board, member of the Charleston Chamber of Commerce and a self-proclaimed motivated citizen of Franklin County.  He raises chickens in his free time as well as plays the guitar, enjoys freestyle motocross and is an avid Facebook fanatic.  Although no evidence could be found, we hear he develops his one of a kind dance moves at a local Zumba class.

In 2011, Hollywood knocked on Sosebee’s door and he was featured in Bullproof, a Discovery and IMAX “sportumentary” film with the CBR tour as the backdrop.

In addition to being the featured entertainer on CBR’s Road to Cheyenne Tour and World Finals, Sosebee’s career highlights include multiple PRCA Clown of the year nominations, featured performer at the Calgary Stampede, and selected six times as the entertainer for the Daddy of Em All, Cheyenne Frontier Days.  You can follow Cody Sosebee on Facebook and here are a few more questions we think you might enjoy:
