New stuff, no bull!

We have some exciting new things coming your way this fall!  We will be re-vamping the website to make the content you want to see easier to find and mobile-friendly.  We’ve also got some new partnerships that will keep you coming back to for the latest and greatest!

First up, the Scottsdale Showdown presented by Ak-Chin Indian Community is stampeding into WestWorld Scottsdale on October 19th.  The Showdown will feature the Chevy Silverado Chute Out, a part of CBR’s Road to Cheyenne tour, followed by three big name country acts – Maggie Rose, Jerrod Niemann, and Montgomery Gentry – all to benefit the Scottsdale Charros.  Find out more about the Charros here.

Next, we’ve brought in some fresh, new voices to report on Championship Bull Riding.  Interviewer Extraordinaire, Tammie Webster, of Bull Riding Rodeo Connection came down to Los Fresnos for the Bulls on the Border tour event and talked with some of the cowboys behind the chutes.  We were going to keep them as “Facebook Specials,” but they’re just too good not to share!

Aaron Pass, off to a great start with his big win in Huron, was just married this weekend.  We wish Aaron and his beautiful bride a lifetime of love and happiness!

When the website’s new look is unveiled, a blog section will come with it.  We don’t want to ruin the surprise, but we just can’t wait any longer to announce our new contributors!  The first is former Miss Rodeo USA (2010), Dakota Missildine.  Dakota has a degree in broadcast journalism and experience writing for publications such as IPRA’s “Rodeo News.”  Dakota will be writing “From the Road,” a look behind the chutes and into the lives of the arena athletes and key personnel of Championship Bull Riding.  She will also be writing a column of the same name in the Short Round Magazine, the official publication of Championship Bull Riding.  Click here to subscribe!

Another featured contributor will be Kami Teel, mother of reigning PRCA World Champion bull rider Cody Teel.  Her blog, “It’s a Mom Thing,” will feature stories and photos of Cody as a young man chasing his dream, riding a toy bull in the backyard for a make-believe crowd cheering his name.

If you’ve got a great story idea or a favorite rider or staff member you’d like to know more about, please use the Contact Us form and let us know!  If we choose your story idea, we’ll send you a CBR goody bag and recognize you by name in the blog post.

We hope you’re just as excited as we are about this new direction for the website!  We want to bring you content that you’ll find nowhere else and that helps you get to know us here at Championship Bull Riding.
