Championship Bull Riding Looking for Another Record-Breaking Year in 2013

Fans are still talking about the 2012 Championship Bull Riding (CBR) World Championships, a record-breaking two-day event held during the 116th Cheyenne Frontier Days™ (CFD). CBR maintains a cowboy-first philosophy, working to provide the ultimate scoring opportunity for the bull riders on its pro tour by aligning with the finest stock contractors whose bulls are tough but fair, rank but rideable. CBR’s 2012 World Championships exemplified this philosophy: Elite stock contractors brought their best bulls and the contenders took advantage of the opportunities given, putting up an unprecedented 44 qualified rides during the two performances, 20 of which were marked 90 points or better.
CBR World Championships announcer, Don Gay, is no stranger to high-marked bull rides. Gay, an eight-time PRCA World Champion Bull Rider (1974-77, 1979-81, 1984) and ProRodeo Hall of Famer (inducted 1979), had this to say about last year’s jaw-dropping performances:
This was truly an outstanding event. I was so proud for Tuff and the CBR to be part of such a historical event like CFD, and then to come in and put on a show of the caliber that they did. I was especially proud to see Wes Silcox, JW Harris, and Josh Barentine come into this arena and perform like they did. It was truly a special night, and I’m just happy to have been a part of it.
CBR’s partners at Cheyenne Frontier Days™ were just as impressed. CFD General Chairman Rod Hottle said, "Cheyenne Frontier Days™ was proud to present the World Championships for CBR.  The CFD fans enjoyed two days of top-notch bull riding. I also want to especially thank them for their support of the CFD Crisis and Scholarship Funds as part of the CBR “Presentation of the Riders.” This money will go a long way to help the mission of these two important CFD non-profits who support our CFD family."
Championship Bull Riding returns to the Daddy of ‘em All® for the 2013 World Championships on July 22nd & 23rd, as part of CFD’s Frontier Nights™. The event also serves as the Finale for the 2013 Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge. Bull Teams compete by earning points accumulated by the bull’s scores and a combination of the number of seconds ridden by their respective cowboy.
