Incredible Pen of Bulls Highlight Outstanding Night
A spectacular pen of bulls were the highlight of a great night of bull riding at the West Texas Showdown in Lubbock. A record crowd at the City Bank Coliseum enjoyed the best of the best, including six world champions, duke it out to the bitter end and when the dust cleared it was Texas cowboy Cooper Davis who claimed the cash and the event win.
Davis, a national high school finals champion, rode all three of this bulls, Motley Crew (Box K Cattle CO.) Black Betty (Sellers Bucking Bulls) and Blue Duck ( Carr Prorodeo) for a total of 255. A student of the bull, Cooper takes advantage of his many rodeo and bull riding events, to study every bull in order to  prepare for the day of if and when he draws it.
“I knew all these bulls tonight. I had a strategy going into each of my rides. Black Betty is pretty athletic and I knew just where I was going with that one. It all worked out for me pretty well.”
Hometown hero Chandler Bownds and three-time PRCA World Champion J W Harris, wowed the crowd with some talented bull riding. Bownds had the highest marked ride of the night 93, on the top bull of the evening Rajin JT ( Exclusive Genetics/Team Bays).
Exclusive Genetics/Team Bays takes home the Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team win this week.
