Cody Teel Is Two For Two On “Road To Cheyenne Tour”

2012 PRCA World Champion Cody Teel is on one hot streak. He closed out last year with a  Championship title and now only three weeks into 2013 he has won two Championship Bull Riding events. A sell-out crowd in Jackson, TN was on hand for the Bud Light Classic and for the second week in a row, more bulls were ridden than not in an outstanding matchup of man vs beast.

Teel was out first on the Clarkview Farms bull Hot Water for 87 points. During the second round he drew B & M Bucking Bulls Rusty Monkey and rode him for 90.5 which gave him the highest combined score going into the championship round. Teel was one of four riders competing for the overall title and was the last rider out. He landed the Silver Creek Prorodeo bull California Roll and rode him for an 87.5.

Teel, of Kountz, Texas, is taking it all in stride,” I’m very focused, taking one bull at a time.  The eight second format is definitely very challenging, riding three bulls, but I just try not to think that far ahead.”

Congratulations go out to Rhinestone Renegade for taking home the Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge check for Jackson and for their bull Canadian Cadillac which earned high marked bull of the event.

CBR “Road to Cheyenne” action continues next week in Hobbs, NM. Complete results posted on CBR events page.

Big thanks to Mr Craig Copeland and the great fans in Jackson, Tennessee for a truly amazing night!
