Louisiana Man Leaves Lafayette with Gold Buckle

Lafayette Louisiana fans treated Championship Bull Riding to great hospitality all week long and the CBR riders returned the favor with some outstanding bull rides. It could not have been a better outcome either as Louisiana Cowboy Willis Trosclair stole the show to win the whole thing and take home the Lafayette Championship Buckle.

Trosclair, from Thibodaux, LA, opened the night with and 89.5 point ride on Vortex Madness (Exclusive Genetics & Jaynes Gang-Team Whisnant) the high marked ride of the long round. After several 90 point rides in the championship round, Trosclair was the last man to ride and sealed the victory with the highest marked ride of the night, 93 points on Black Betty (R Place Ranch) .

This was Trosclairís first night back after taking significant time off to recover from broken ribs. He dedicated his ride to his father, who has been battling cancer for the third time and unfortunately has not been doing well. Trosclair was anxious to return home after the event to return to his fatherís beside but was grateful to be back to bull riding and have done so well.

Troscalirís 93 point ride is the highest score so far this season and earns Black Betty bull of the event honors.
