Tuffs Picks For Lubbock Tonight

The CBR is setting up for the second stop on this year’s CINCH Tour at the West Texas Showdown here in Lubbock, Tex. As always, we’ve got a lot of great match-ups on hand and it’s sure to be another exciting event.
One rider to watch tonight is Aaron Pass. He’s got a really good bull called Johnny Crash from Danny Reagan. Aaron’s left-handed and this bull goes left right in the gate. He should have a chance to be a bunch of points on him.
Clint Craig’s drawn Directory Assistance tonight. Clint hasn’t been very healthy and he’s just coming back. Directory Assistance is the kind of bull you want to have when you’re just getting healthy again because they ride him quite a bit and they’re usually a lot of points on him.
Cooper Kangiesser’s up on One Eyed Jack of Lyndal Hurst’s and this is another good bull that’s been in the short go quite a bit. He’s a tough bull but he’s rideable and Cooper should be a lot of points on him.
We’ve got a lot of young, great riders on the CINCH CBR Tour right now and one of those is Josh Barrentine. This kid is unbelievable and he’s got a great little bull called White Out drawn. He’s got a good chance to win the round.
2011 PRCA Rookie of the Year, Chandler Bownds, has Pale Face Jose. This is a bull we’ve seen in the short round a couple times. Chandler was 7.5 seconds last week and he was really disappointed but he’s got a good bull to come back with. He should make top three in the round with this one.
It’s great to be back in West Texas. I grew up rodeoing around here and look forward to coming back each year. We had record attendance across the border in Hobbs, New Mex. last weekend and, with all the great bull riding fans here in Lubbock, it looks like we’re going to have another packed house at tonight’s West Texas Showdown.
