Henry Rifles continues partnership with CBR, honoring U.S. Military

Today, Championship Bull Riding, Inc. (CBR), announces the proud continuation of a partnership that began three years ago at the Lubbock, Texas CINCH CBR Tour Stop with Henry Repeating Arms.  During the Lubbock event, CBR introduced a wounded veteran who served in “Operation Iraqi Freedom” in the event’s opening ceremonies.  Being so moved by the introduction, Henry Repeating Arms President, Anthony Imperato, personally offered the Veteran “Any Henry Rifle in my inventory as a tribute to his service for our great country”.  From that moment, a very special partnership was launched between Henry and CBR.

In 2011 at each CINCH CBR Tour event, CBR in conjunction with Henry Rifles honored a local Veteran who has served in any branch of the United States Military.  So far, the partnership has recognized nearly 20 Veterans across the country and all have been awarded the custom Military Service Edition Henry Golden Boy .22 caliber Rifle.

Additionally in 2011, with the help of the Cheyenne Frontier Days General Committee, CBR and Henry had the opportunity to honor one of our Nation’s greatest heroes.  During the first performance of the CBR at Cheyenne, in front of nearly 6,000 bull riding fans, CBR honored United States ARMY Medal of Honor Veteran, Sal Giunta, of Fort Collins, Colorado.  The Medal of Honor is the highest Military Honor in the world and is awarded only by the President of the United States of America.

In 2012, this fantastic partnership will continue and expand with the launch of the “Henry Rifles American Hero”.  CBR and Henry will continue honoring local Veterans at each CINCH CBR Tour stop, but this year CBR will include these honorable moments in the “Henry Rifles American Hero” segments during CBR broadcasts on FOX Sports Network.  Each of the honorary rifle presentations will be included in the CBR television broadcasts along with interviews and documentation of each Veteran’s service and military experience.

“Our partnership with the CBR gives Henry Repeating Arms a wonderful opportunity to thank, salute and acknowledge those who have served our Country”, stated Anthony Imperato, President of Henry Repeating Arms. “It’s the least we can do. And, at the same time, we have a lot of fun being part of the great family entertainment courtesy of the CBR.”

“CBR and Henry both have an equal, undying gratitude for the men and women that serve this country and defend our freedom”, said Scott Davis of CBR.  “Our partnership with Henry Rifles allows us to do what little we can, to recognize the folks that put their lives on the line for us – everyday.  This year, through our extended partnership, we have the opportunity to share this honorary experience with millions of proud Americans during our FOX Sports Network Broadcasts”.

The 2012 CINCH CBR Tour “Road to Cheyenne” kicked off this past weekend in Hobbs, NM.  Henry Rifle honored their first American Hero of the season .Joey Celments is a Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient who served his time in the Vietnam War. He is a disabled Veteran who now spends his time with his wife of 42 years, Anne, in  Eunice, New Mexico.

In addition to the American Hero award, Henry will continue providing its signature, custom “CBR Event Champion” Golden Boy .22 Caliber Rifle to each Event Champion on the CINCH CBR Tour. Cody Teel of Kountze, TX is the first Champion of 2012 to receive a henry Rifle.
