First CINCH CBR Tour Event of 2012 Kicks-Off With a Bang

Fort Worth, Texas (January 28, 2012) –  The Hobbs Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding in New Mexico kicked off the 2012 CINCH CBR Tour “Road to Cheyenne”  in explosive fashion! A sell- out crowd and tremendous bull riding all contributed to a phenomenal event. Over 50 percent of the rides qualified and the crowd increased their level of frenzy as the night continued.
A whole new crop of riders off the Horizon Series Tour made their debut on the CINCH Tour tonight and ultimately is was Cody Teel, from Kountze, Texas , who walked away a brand new champion. Cody made a name for himself in recent months with his success at Horizon Series events. Everyone anticipated his arrival on the CINCH Tour tonight and he did not disappoint.
CBR had a word with the new winner after the event- “This feels really great. I set out to accomplish so much this year and this is a good start. I can’t wait to see what else I can accomplish this year with Championship Bull Riding.”
Cody Teel was 89 on Black Ice (Andrus/Barker/Danley) and back on Cinch Red Label for an additional 89 giving him the top score of 178.
Stetson Lewis, the New Mexico Cowboy, ended his night in second place. Finishing in the money are two other riders coming off the Horizon Series, Josh Barentine and Cody Dollins.  All the scores can be found under results on the events page at CBRBull.com.
The Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge also got underway tonight and Little Creek Ranch and Cody Ohl started their year off right with a big win. $75,000 was paid out for Hobbs bull team owners and over a million will be paid out over the 2012 season. The Bull Team Challenge finals coincide with the 2012 CBR World Championships in Cheyenne this July.

Championship Bull Riding continues on the “Road To Cheyenne” with a tour stop in Lubbock, TX next week. Live results posted on CBRBull.com and Facebook fan page.
