JW Harris Sets Texas Stampede on Fire

Three-time PRCA World Champion J.W. Harris gained ground on the 2012 season at this weekend’s Horizon Series event at the Texas Stampede in Allen, Tex. Harris lit up the scoreboard in the first round with an impressive 92-point ride aboard Wildcard Rodeo’s Plaid Shirt. After placing second in the short-go with a score of 87, Harris’ point total of 179 was more than enough to win the event championship.


Chandler Bownds put together two solid rides to finish second in the average with a combined score of 168. Canton, Tex. cowboy Cole Mewbourne won the short-go with an 88 on Danny Raegan’s Candy Shop.
