Corey Maier Wins Dakota Magic CBR Cinch Tour in Hankinson, N.D.

Fort Worth, Texas (September 3, 2011) Ė South Dakota native Corey Maier won big close to home tonight at the Dakota Magic Championship Bull Riding in Hankinson, N.D. After placing second in the long round on Vogele/Sandersí Rising Sun, Maier put together an impressive 90-point ride on Bergerís Flight Risk. His two-round total of 177 points earned him the event championship.


The sold out crowd at Dakota Magic Casino saw a slew of high scoring rides, including Alfonso Orcozoís 89-point ride aboard Hurstís One Eyed Jack in the short go. Orcozo took second place in tonightís event, finishing two points behind Maier.


Tonightís event was also a part of the Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge and CBR stock contractors brought their best bulls to the competition. Hurst Bucking Bulls came out on top, followed by German Ranch/Double S Bucking Bulls and All Star/Cooper/Scuggs. Flight Risk of Berger Bucking Bulls was named Bull of the Event for carrying Corey Maier to a 90-point ride in the championship round.
