Louisiana Native Cole Echols Wins Bossier City

Fort Worth, Texas (August 20, 2011) – Cole Echols brought the heat to his home state of Louisiana tonight. The Elm Grove, La. cowboy put up two 89.5-point rides at the Eldorado Tuff Hedeman Louisiana Shootout to win the CBR Cinch Tour event in front of his home-state crowd.

Echols rode Hou Tricked Hou in the long round and followed up with an equally impressive ride aboard Wing/CG Bucking Bulls’ Sick ‘em On a Chicken in the championship round. The two bulls split Bull of the Event Honors for carrying Echols to the championship.

Chase Outlaw finished tonight’s event in second place, after successfully riding Little Eagle and Dakota’s Magic Double Scoop. Current CBR Cinch Tour standings leader, Clayton Foltyn, maintained his lead by finishing third with a combined score of 173.5.

Tonight’s event was also a part of the Palace Station Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge and, thanks in part to Hou Tricked Hou’s performance, Hurst Bucking Bulls captured another bull team competition win.
