CBR Riders to Compete in Brazil

Fort Worth, Texas (August 24, 2011) – Championship Bull Riding arived in Brazil today with four of its top bull riders and are preparing to compete in Brazil’s prestigious Barretos International Rodeo this week.


CBR will be represented by 2010 CBR World Champion Luke Kelley, current CBR Cinch Tour points leader Clayton Foltyn, three-time PRCA World Champion J.W. Harris and CBR Cheyenne Frontier Days and Canadian bull riding champion Tyler Thomson. CBR President Tuff Hedeman and CEO Wes Bruce will make the long trip to South America with the riders.


“We are excited to be returning to Barretos to showcase some of our top riders,” said CBR CEO Wes Bruce. “The Barretos event is one of the top rodeos in the world and has a huge prize purse. It’s a great opportunity for our guys.”


The Barretos Rodeo is the largest international rodeo in existence and draws competitors and celebrities from all over the world. CBR President Tuff Hedeman remains the only American bull rider to ever win the Barretos event. “Maybe we can change that this year,” Bruce said.
