Bull Riding Legend Don Gay Joins CBR Team in Cheyenne

Eight-time PRCA world champion bull rider, Donnie Gay, will join CBRs personnel crew as an arena announcer next week at Cheyenne Frontier Days.

In the 1970s and early 1980s, Don Gay was the king of professional bull riding. He won his first four world championships consecutively in 1974-1977. In 1978, he followed up with a PRCA season championship. Then he captured three more back-to-back titles in 1979-1981. He claimed his final world championship in 1984, five years after his induction to the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame. He remains the only bull rider to win eight PRCA world championships.

Bull riding fans recognize Dons name from his impressive riding career but he has become just as well known for the enthusiastic color commentary hes been providing at major rodeo and bull riding events in the years since his retirement.

CBR is proud to have Don Gay join Andy Stewart in Cheyenne for next weeks CBR Cinch Tour event.

I am really excited that Tuff and the CBR are including me in the bull riding at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Its been a long time since I have been there and cant wait to get back stated Donnie Gay.
