Craig Jackson Takes Early Lead in $10,000 Mahindra Tractors CBR Texas Swing

Fort Worth, TX (February 14, 2011)- The 2011 CBR Casa Ford Tuff Hedeman West Texas Shootout is in the books, and Craig Jackson was the big winner.  The El Paso event was also the first in this year's $10,000 Mahindra Tractors CBR Texas Swing, so Jackson is the early leader in the standings as the CINCH CBR Tour heads to Lufkin, TX, in two weeks.  The Houston, TX, bull rider was 91 points on Tapout in the long round, and he followed that with a 91.5-point ride on Dakota Magic's Double Scoop in the Championship Round.  He sits atop the Texas Swing standings with 182.5 points.

J.W. Harris finished second in El Paso, and he is second in the Texas Swing standings after one event.  He was 88.5 points in the long round and 90.5 points in the Championship Round.  The three-time PRCA World Champion is now in the top 10 in the CINCH CBR World Standings, and he is going to be a factor in the Texas Swing as well.  Kenny Westrope is currently third in the Texas Swing standings after finishing with 177 points in El Paso.  Tag Elliott and Lorenzo Rios are tied for fourth with 176.5 points.

The $10,000 Mahindra Tractors CBR Texas Swing will be contested at all televised CINCH CBR Tour events in the state of Texas.  The next event is Lufkin, and that event is scheduled for February 26th.  The remaining events include Fort Worth (March 5th), Del Rio (May 7th and 8th), and Lubbock (August 13th).  Last year's Texas Swing race came down to the last ride, and 2010 CBR World Champion Luke Kelley went on to win the $10,000 bonus by a slim margin over Cody White.

This year's $10,000 Mahindra Tractors CBR Texas Swing is going to be extremely exciting, and it could very well come down to the wire once again.  Keep checking for news and updates on the Texas Swing and much more.  Also, be sure to visit the Championship Bull Riding Facebook and Twitter page if you haven't already.
