2010 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo: Day Two Recap

Night two of the 2010 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is complete, and the bull riding went a little different than night one.  The bulls got some revenge, as the riders only managed five qualified rides.  Two-time reigning and defending PRCA World Champion J.W. Harris stood above the rest in the second round with an 89.5-point ride on Red Onion.  Cody Whitney finished second on night two with 88 points.  Shawn Hogg made up for his buck-off in round one by finishing third with 85.5 points.  World number one Wesley Silcox finished fourth with 84 points, while Chad Denton rounded out the top five with 75 points.

J.W. Harris is one of three riders who are a perfect 2-for-2, and he is currently leading the average with 177 points.  Chad Denton is second in the average with 162.5 points, and Cody Whitney is third with 156.5 points.  D.J. Domangue bucked off his second bull, but he is still fourth in the average after winning round one with 88.5 points.  Steve Woolsey also bucked off last night, but he is fifth in the average after his first-round 86.  The top-two riders in the standings (Silcox and Hogg) got their first qualified ride of the WNFR on night two, and things are going to be extremely competitive from here on out.

Cody Ohl, a CBR Bull Team owner, finished third in the tie-down roping on night two.  Night three will be tonight, and the action will be on ESPN Classic starting at 8:00PM Central Time.  Also, Clayton Williams and Wesley Silcox will be signing autographs at the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show Las Vegas Convention Center Booth #1252 today.  Williams will be signing from 11:00 to 12:00PM, and Silcox will be signing from 12:00PM to 1:00PM.  Keep checking CBRBull.com for news, updates, etc. from this year's WNFR.  I've also listed a couple key match-ups for round three, and you can read those below.
