CBR Riders Set to Return to Action in 2011

The sport of bull riding is one of the most dangerous in the world, and fans know injuries can and will happen at anytime.  The 2010 CBR season was very exciting, but a handful of riders missed out on a lot of the action because of injuries.  There isn't an exact time table on the return of these riders, but they should be back sometime before or during the 2011 season.  Here is a list of CBR riders who should be back in the mix over the next calendar year.  If you have anything to add, please visit our Facebook page and voice your opinion.  Enjoy!

Hugo Pedrero
Hugo Pedrero lit the CBR on fire in 2009 en route to winning the World Title and $100,000 bonus.  When he won the gold buckle, he was already starting to have problems with his wrist.  The Mexico native tried to gut it out the early part of 2010, but the pain was too much.  Fans haven't seen him ride since the Las Vegas event in late March.  Pedrero has plenty of talent to contend for another World Title, but he has to get 100% healthy first.  Here's to hoping we see the former champ return in early 2011.  If he comes back healthy, he will make an instant impact.

Willis Trosclair
Willis Trosclair didn't win the title in 2009, but he finished seventh in the final standings.  He also finished fourth in the 2009 CBR Tour Finale.  The Louisiana bull rider rode in one event in 2010 before a knee injury sidelined him for the rest of the season.  The injury was unfortunate because he was coming off his best season in the CBR.  Fans of Trosclair will be happy to know he is set to return to action within the next month or so, and he should be healthy and ready to go for the 2011 season.

Johnathan Brown
Johnathan Brown had a breakout season in 2009.  He was the runner-up at the 2009 CBR Tour Finale, and he finished sixth in the final season standings.  He was poised for a big 2010 season, but it's been a rough year for the Houston native.  He rode in several events before a car accident sidelined him for the rest of the season.  His traveling partner, Neil Holmes, returned from a nasty injury of his own, and hopefully Brown will be back sooner rather than later as well.  This guy has a ton of talent.

Sam Wilson
Sam Wilson's situation is a little different from the other guys on the list because he competed in almost all the 2010 events.  He led the Horizon Series standings for awhile, and he finished the season ninth in the final standings.  That being said, he didn't have any success during the Fall Run because of multiple injuries.  A hernia and torn groin hurt his riding and forced him out of the Tour Finale in Kansas City.  Wilson finally shut things down to get healthy, and he should be better off in 2011 because of it.  He has as much talent as anyone in the CBR, and he could be a serious contender next year.

Clayton Baethge
Clayton Baethge won the CBR World Title in 2008, and he backed that up with a tenth-place finish in the final 2009 season standings.  He is part of the Johnson City Mafia, and he is one of the best riders in the business when he is on his game.  Baethge didn't miss any time in 2010 because of injuries, but he didn't enter any CBR events either.  The good news for his fans is the fact he will be back and ready to go for the 2011 season.  If he stays healthy and enters plenty of events, he could be a contender for the gold buckle.
