Stevo Keighley Picks Up the Win in Longview

Fort Worth, TX (October 16, 2010)- The 2011 Horizon Series season is underway, and Stevo Keighley was the first rider to find the winner's circle.  The Florida cowboy was the only guy to ride both of his bulls Saturday night in Longview, and his ride in the Championship Round gave him a total of 172.5 points and secured the victory.  The win will put him at the top of the season standings after the first event.

Kenny Westrope, a two-time winner over the last couple months, finished second with 86 points.  Kolt Miller also ended the night with 86 points, and he finished third.  Miller finished second in the CBR standings in 2006, and it was nice to see him back near the top of the leaderboard.  Lucas Dick ended the night fourth after a total of 84 points.  Jess Askey rounded out the top five with 83.5 points, and Chandler Bownds finished sixth with 81 points.

The 2011 Horizon Series will resume November 13th with events in Wichita Falls, TX, and Allen, TX.  Keep checking for news and updates.  Also, be sure to visit the Championship Bull Riding Facebook page if you haven't already.
