Key Match-Ups For 2010 CBR Bud Light Bull Bash

The 2011 CBR season starts tonight in Longview, TX, with a Horizon Series event.  10 of the riders who qualified for the 2010 Tour Finale will be riding tonight.  Danny Reagan and Silverado Rodeo Company are just a couple of the stock contractors who will be bringing great bulls to this event.  It's going to be a great way to start the new season.  I've put together five key match-ups for the long round.  If you have anything to add, please visit our Facebook page or email me at:  codythrasher@cbrbull.com.  Enjoy!

Tate Harris vs. Ronnie Rooster
Tate Harris hasn't been to many CBR events, but he won a Horizon Series event in March.  He also went 1-for-2 in Fort Stockton last month and made it to the Championship Round.  His long-round draw tonight is Ronnie Rooster, a bull owned by Danny Reagan.  In five outs in 2010, this bull is unridden with an average bull score of 43.3 points.  Three of his last four outs have been 44 points or better.  This is a decent draw for Harris, but I'm taking Ronnie Rooster.
My Pick:  Ronnie Rooster

Rankin Lindsay vs. Moody
Rankin Lindsay went to a few CBR events during the 2010 season, and he has had some decent success.  He finished second at a Horizon Series event in March, and he made the Championship Round on the second night in Tulsa.  His draw for tonight's long round is Moody, another bull owned by Danny Reagan.  This bull hasn't been ridden yet, and he was really good when I saw him in Woodward last month.  Lindsay could win some money on this one, but Moody has been bucking guys off really fast.
My Pick:  Moody

Chance Smart vs. Big Al
Chance Smart will be looking to start the new season off on the right foot after not enterting too many CBR events in 2010.  His draw for tonight's long round is Big Al, a bull owned by Herrington/Jones.  This bull only has one CBR out in 2010, and he bucked off Bonner Bolton in Hobbs, NM.  Smart has a nice bull to ride and end up in the mid-80s, and that will put him in good shape coming into the Championship Round.
My Pick:  Chance Smart

Bryan Richardson vs. Texas Charm
Bryan Richardson has been to a few CBR events in 2010, but fans haven't seen him in the last few months.  He is also a rider who has contended for PRCA World Titles in the past, so the guy is talented.  His draw for tonight's long round is Texas Charm, a bull owned by Silverado Rodeo Company.  This bull was ridden for 85 points in his only CBR out in 2010, but he has been marked as high as 46 points in the past month in PRCA action.  This is one of the best match-ups of the long round, but I have to take Texas Charm.
My Pick:  Texas Charm

Cooper Kanngiesser vs. Cut Across Shorty
Cooper Kanngiesser is coming off a 12th-place finish in the 2010 CBR season standings, and he will be looking to start the new season with a bang.  His long-round draw tonight is Cut Across Shorty, another bull owned by Silverado Rodeo Company.  In two CBR outs in 2010, this bull has been ridden once for 93 points.  He has probably lost a slight step since early in the season, but it's still a bull Cooper can be in the high-80s on.  This is probably the best match-up in the long round, and I'm picking the rider to get the job done and be the front-runner to win the event.
My Pick:  Cooper Kanngiesser
