Bronson Butcher Wins 2010 CBR Best Out West Showdown

Fort Worth, TX (September 18, 2010)- The CBR riders started slow on Saturday night in Woodward, OK, but they finished with a bang in the Championship Round.  In front of a very good crowd, Oklahoma's own Bronson Butcher rode both bulls and picked up the victory.  He won the long round with an 89-point ride on Air Patrick.  He picked Lyndal Hurst's Mooseknuckle in the Championship Round, and the two combined for 89.5 big points!

When Butcher was asked how the win felt, he had this to say.  "I'm really glad to win one of these CBR events, and it was even better to do it in Oklahoma."  The victory will move Butcher inside the top 30 with only a couple events before the 2010 CBR Tour Finale.

2007 CBR World Champion Bonner Bolton was the only other rider to cover both his bulls, and he finished in second with 174 points.  Cooper Kanngiesser rode No Berry Wine for 90.5 in the Championship Round to finish third.  Cody White was 89.5 in the short-go and finished fourth.  Sam Wyatt and Markus Mariluch each scored 88 points and finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

The 2010 CBR Best Out West Showdown was also a Bull Games event, and Brad Vogele's Luca Brazzi took home top honors and the $17,000 winner's check.  Vogele had this to say after the event.  "I'm so proud to be a part of the CBR and have the opportunity to haul bulls to the events."  No Berry Wine, also owned by Vogele, was the bull of the night after he combined with Kanngiesser for 90.5 points.

Uppercut, owned by Jones/Herrington, split second and third with Chad Drury's Air Patrick.  Kenny Hague's Spook and D&H Cattle Co.'s Charlie T split fourth and fifth.  The number six bull in the competition was One Eyed Jack, a bull owned by Lyndal Hurst.

The 2010 CBR season is quickly winding down, and the next big stop will be Lubbock, TX, on October 2nd.  The event will be the last before the Tour Finale.  Keep checking CBRBull.com for news, previews, key match-ups, recaps, etc.  Also, be sure to visit the Facebook page if you haven't already.
