Key Match-Ups For 2010 Dakota Magic Tuff Hedeman CBR Challenge

The 2010 CINCH CBR Tour presented by Mahindra Tractors will be in Hankinson, ND tonight, and it should be another exciting event.  The bulls took care of business in Huron, and the bull riders will be looking for revenge.  I've put together a list of eight key match-ups for tonight's long round, and I've also included the list of Championship Round bulls.  Enjoy!

Bradley Harris vs. Rena's Pet
Bradley Harris is currently 21st in the CBR season standings, and he has made a move over the past month.  He finished second in Hobbs in mid-August, and he ended up fifth the first night in Huron.  His long-round draw tonight is Rena's Pet, a well-known bull owned by Brad Vogele.  In four CINCH CBR outs in 2010, he has been ridden twice for an average ride score of 87.25 points.  This bull can be tough on right-handers, but Harris has been riding well enough to manage that.
My Pick:  Bradley Harris

Aaron Brewer on Hell Ya
Aaron Brewer is coming off a tie for third on night two in Huron, and he has drawn a familiar bull in the long round tonight.  Hell Ya, owned by Danny Reagan, matched up against the South Dakota cowboy just a few nights ago.  Brewer won that match-up and scored 87 points in the process.  Hell Ya has been very solid in 2010, but it's pretty tough to go against the bull rider in this one.  I expect this to put Brewer in good position once again.
My Pick:  Aaron Brewer

Wrangler Dunda vs. Wild Nights
Wrangler Dunda is still ninth in the season standings, but things have been very rough for him lately.  He rode one bull in Bossier City, but he took a re-ride and bucked off that bull.  Other than that, he hasn't made a qualified ride since the summer break ended.  His long-round draw tonight is Wild Nights, another bull owned by Danny Reagan.  This bull has been ridden twice this season, and the average ride score is 91 points.  This bull could help Dunda break out of his slump and win the round, but I have to pick Wild Nights this time around.
My Pick:  Wild Nights

Sam Wilson vs. Crush
Sam Wilson is currently sixth in the 2010 standings, but he has been battling injuries for awhile.  It has shown in his riding, as he hasn't made a qualified ride since the summer break ended.  His draw for tonight's long round is Crush, a bull owned by Cooper and Scruggs.  In three CINCH CBR outs this year, this bull has been ridden once for 87.5 points.  It's a very good draw for Wilson, and he can definitely contend for the round win if he gets the job done.  That being said, I just can't pick the rider on this one.
My Pick:  Crush

Cooper Kanngiesser vs. Airborn
Like Dunda and Wilson, Kanngiesser has also gone without a qualified ride since the summer break ended.  That's a huge surprise, and his luck is bound to change soon.  His draw for tonight's long round is Airborn, a bull owned by Rod Conat.  His only CBR out in 2010 was night one in Huron, and he bucked off Chandler Bownds and was marked 43.5 points.  This match-up could go either way, but like I mentioned above, Kanngiesser is way overdue to get a big ride.  This one should challenge for the round win.
My Pick:  Cooper Kanngiesser

Casey Bowman vs. Wyatt Earp
Casey Bowman didn't ride his bull in Huron, but he has been pretty steady the past month.  He finished sixth in Hobbs in mid-August and at the Horizon Series event in Arkansas last weekend.  His long-round draw tonight is Wyatt Earp, a bull owned by The Dalton Gang.  This bull had an off-trip in South Dakota, but he is usually a 44 or 45-point bull.  Bowman could definitely ride this one and be in contention to win the long round, but Wyatt Earp has something to prove after a 42-point trip in his last out.
My Pick:  Wyatt Earp

Chandler Bownds vs. Electric Slide
Chandler Bownds didn't put things together in Huron, but he has been real close to breaking out.  He finished fourth at a Horizon Series event last weekend.  His draw for tonight's long round is Electric Slide, a bull owned by Denny McCoy and Joann Black.  In three CINCH CBR outs in 2010, this bull has been ridden once for 87.5 points.  This is an outstanding draw for Bownds, and he should ride it and be in great shape heading into the Championship Round.  He is my pick to win tonight.
My Pick:  Chandler Bownds

Luke Kelly vs. Big Coyote
Luke Kelly didn't make any rides in Huron, but he is still in the top spot in the CBR season standings after his huge win in Bossier City two weekends ago.  His long-round draw tonight is Big Coyote, a bull owned by Dakota Rodeo and Clay Struve.  This bull's only CBR out this season was night two in Huron, and he bucked off Tag Elliott in the Championship Round.  This bull is always a great draw, and Kelly should take full advantage of it.  South Dakota wasn't friendly to Luke, but the number one rider will bounce back in a big way in North Dakota.
My Pick:  Luke Kelly
