More News from the WNFR

Fort Worth, Texas (December 8, 2009)
The latest news from WNFR is JW Harris will attempt to ride again in hopes of securing his second World Championship title.  JW, who broke his riding hand during the second night of competition, returned to the Thomas and Mack Center for round 5 but was only able to hold on for 6 seconds.  The competition is very close at this point and JW wants to insure another gold buckle and so will continue to ride with a cast.

There were no successful rides in bull riding competition on Monday night, the bulls were the winners. The impressive stock lineup included 2009 CBR Bull of the Year Cocktail who was matched with top rider Bobby Welsh.

In other news, tie down roper and CBR Bull Team Owner, Cody Ohl is blazing hot in competition. After five rounds he is leading the average with an impressive 43.10. On Sunday night he was just off the record time, which currently holds, landing him the buckle for the evening. On Monday he tied for the top score.
